Ninth Biennial Show - Success!

We're all still recovering from the past weekend! I deem the show a huge success with 180 entries and over 450 in attendance. The weather was great which helped especially during setup and take down. Thanks to all our members for their incredible help during the show. Thanks also to the 12 vendors who set up. There are so many to thank .......

I will post viewers' choice awards soon. Our raffle quilt was won by guild member, Sandra Harris. I'm attaching a photo of Sandra with Show Co-Chairs - Mary Snell and Kathy Casey(me) - who happen to be sisters!!

Sandra worked all weekend long on the show as well as many days before hand - finishing her beautiful quilt and proof reading the program - along with many other things - too numerous to mention. Thanks, Sandra!

Las Vegas Vacation

My husband and I just returned from two weeks in Las Vegas. We went for a construction show. We rented a vehicle and did quite a bit of traveling around as well visiting the west part of the Grand Canyon, Boulder City, Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. Las Vegas is a fun city to visit with so much to see. I love to people watch! We walked and walked and ate too much! I did visit four quilt shops and purchased a little bit........of course!! Now my focus will be on the quilt show. Watch for future posts.

Challenge Rules - A Reminder

Happy New Year!
The countdown is on. Our quilt show will be here before we know it. I hope to post regularly about the show. Today I'm sending a reminder about our show challenge. Have you been thinking about this.? Perhaps you have already started or even finished a piece. I hope so. If not, it's certainly not too late.

Right now our focus is on publicity. We want to get the word out about our show. Members - let us know if you have any ideas along this line. We have bookmarks and posters ready for the printer.
